What to Expect on Moving Day

By following a particular set of steps we ensure that your move is completed on time and to your satisfaction. We also try to make the day as light-hearted as possible. When you move with us, it's almost fun! Here's how moving day will go:

Phone Call





It starts with a phone call. We will confirm your address and figure out exactly where you want us to park. We'll also ask you how you like your coffee.

Property Walkthrough





After we arrive, we'll walk through your property and take note of any special precautions. We're looking for furniture that needs special considerations, and any tricky areas such as tight corners and stairs.

Loading





We do all the heavy lifting and pack the moving truck! We'll take special care to place the most important items last so they can be the first thing we unpack.

Unloading





When we arrive at your new home, we unload and unwrap all of your furniture items and moving boxes exactly where you want them. Change your mind and need something moved again? No problem, we're happy to help!

Completion Checklist





Our friendly crew leader will walk you through the completion checklist – this ensures that everything has been done perfectly.

Hi, my name is Curtis McDowell, and I’m the franchise owner of You Move Me Charlotte.

Having worked for a large moving company in NC, I became aware of the opportunities to serve the community that this business provides. Upfront pricing, on time service, friendly uniformed movers, clean trucks and customer care: these are just some of the areas we can address.

Moving can be stressful. Our job is to minimize the stress in this process. Great customer service is our focus!
You Move Me Charlotte believes in treating everyone with respect and kindness. Employees and customers.

When I’m not moving you, I’m spending time with my wife, MJ, and our son, Cameron.

A couple of things I really enjoy is music and sports. I played the saxophone for three years and I’m currently “working” on playing the electric guitar.
