Estimate and Rates

Our estimator will come to your home for a visual inspection in order to provide you with a free written estimate. We follow ODOT mover’s tariff to prevent over and underestimating.

For local moves, our rates are based on an hourly rate depending on the number of movers and vehicles needed to complete the move. Our minimum charge is 2 hours, but keep in mind that minimum charges are subject to change on weekends and holidays based on the ODOT mover’s tariff.

We Pack Too

Our professional packers can pack, and unpack, a single item, one room, or your entire house.

All residential customers who use our packing services can receive a FREE wardrobe service. Our movers will take your clothes from your closet and pack them in wardrobe boxes. We’ll even unpack your clothes and hang them in your new closet, wrinkle-free.

Your Moving Day

When you hire us to move you and your belongings, you can look forward to an easy, stress-free experience. Expect that we will:

  • Pre-arrange where to park our truck, and confirm address and arrival time.
  • Bring you a cup of your favorite coffee.
  • Ask you to point out any items that you'd like us to load first, what things you need access to right away, and anything that requires extra-special care.
  • Work quickly and carefully to load all of your belongings onto our truck.
  • Ask you to show us exactly where you'd like everything placed in your new home so you don't need to move your belongings again once we leave.
  • Give you your very first housewarming gift before we say goodbye.

I grew up in the south Portland Metro, spending time in Tualitin, Tigard and Lake Oswego. I currently live in McMinneville. I am an experienced mover, both for local moves and long distance. As a skilled machinist and handyman, I'm also You Move Me Portland's go-to guy for creative solutions.

After college, I worked in the IT industry but quickly grew bored and joined 1-800-GOT-JUNK? as a way to get from out behind a desk. I love working in the trucks for You Move Me as every day is a new adventure and a way to constantly meet new, interesting people.
