What should I expect?

What to Expect on Moving Day

What's moving day like with You Move Me San Jose? First of all, our moving crew shows up on time and in uniform, with clean trucks and a friendly smile. We make sure we have all the keys, and we listen when you tell us where to park our truck so you don't inconvenience your neighbors. Then we walk through your place with you, so you can point out the electronics that need special handling or the bunk bed that needs to be disassembled to fit through the door.

Phone Call

It starts with a phone call. We will confirm your address and figure out exactly where you want us to park. We'll also ask you how you like your coffee.

Property Walkthrough

After we arrive, we'll walk through your property and take note of any special precautions. We're looking for furniture that needs special considerations, and any tricky areas such as tight corners and stairs.

Packing

We do all the heavy lifting and pack the moving truck! We'll take special care to place the most important items last so they can be the first thing we unpack.

Unpacking

Speaking of unpacking, when we arrive at your new home we'll unpack all of your furniture and boxes exactly where you want them.

Completion Checklist

Our friendly crew leader will walk you through the completion checklist – this ensures that everything has been done perfectly.

I'm a local product of the Bay Area - born and raised in San Jose, California. I've been working with, 1-800-GOT-JUNK? for 7 years, and worked my way up the ranks. I started out as a Truck Team Member, became the Weekend Manager, became the Operations Manager, and finally became General Manager of both You Move Me and 1-800-GOT-JUNK?

These days, the majority of my time is spent on You Move Me.

What I love about moving is that we have an opportunity most other companies don't. We get to make a stressful, difficult situation like moving into an amazing, stress-free experience.

Moving is difficult enough as it is, and I believe my job is to make my clients happy by creating a genuinely caring and empathetic environment.

I am not a salesman. I only make suggestions I believe will help our customers with their moves. Ultimately, that’s what I'm here for: helping you have the easiest move possible.

As a customer of You Move Me South Bay, your job is to take a big deep breath and leave the difficult aspects of your move to my team and I. We'll gladly bring you a cup of coffee on moving day, and hand you a house-warming plant when your move is complete.
